If you want to finish your novel, you need a plan…

A good outline will keep you organized and focused. It’ll help you make the most of your limited writing time. And deep down?

It’ll prove your story has what it takes to work.

But for some reason, every method you try falls apart…

❌ Those systems and structures make sense in theory, but not in practice.

❌ Outlining takes so long that you lose your excitement for the story.

❌ You get overwhelmed trying to follow every craft rule and “formula” out there.

❌ You can figure out key scenes, but not how to fill the gaps between them.

And so you end up stuck, unsure if your ideas are any good, and writing in circles with no real progress to show for it. Because here’s the problem…

You’re not a robot. You don’t have to plan in a straight line.

Far too many outlining systems expect you to already know everything there is about your story. The outline is just there to make it “neat and organized.”

But that’s not how our brains naturally create stories.

When we then try to force our story through a rigid formula, we end up adding things just to fill a checkbox, without ever understanding why the story works.

The result is confusion, overwhelm, and a novel we don’t love.

Luckily, there’s a more intuitive way.
